“A Louca”

(Paderborn, 2022)

This project is a pair of digital illustrations, that also unfolded into a couple of patterns, inspired by the archetype of the “crazy woman”.

Many times, when women are bold, free, speak their minds or refuse to conform to what is imposed by society, they tend to be labeled as crazy.
Especially by men.
Well, if that’s what it’s called, I’m proud to be inspired by and honor this CRAZY type.

Looking closely, you can find several symbols and phrases that alludes to this stigma, so present in the machist society that we still live in.
